Chestnut Seed Nuts for Planting

Please do not select these for edible, culinary nuts. These chestnuts are carefully selected from local high performing trees- we call these trees “local Rock Stars”! Other seed nuts are collected from seedling trees of named cultivars. They have good growth habits, nuts peel well, fall free from the bur, and typically produce high quality medium or large nuts. These trees we have selected to grow in our nursery for our own orchards, as well as the seedlings that we offer for sale. Nuts from individual trees are keep segregated in our process line, and you will receive a note on what tree they came from. Some of these trees we are working to graft, and assign a cultivar name in the future.

Please keep in mind- all of our trees are open pollinated. We do not have any seeds from grafted trees at this time. All of our orchard trees are open pollinated seedlings.

PLEASE NOTE: Nuts may not be shipped to CA, OR, or WA due to state quarantine orders.

Seed nuts will be shipped as soon as processed. Please allow up to 3 weeks for your order to be shipped in October or November. Cost includes shipping.
